For this patient, her most significant aging concerns were around her eyes. She had excess skin of her upper eyelids that was treated with upper blepharoplasty. In her after photo, there is a clear strip of eyelid skin now available between her eyelashes and brows for putting on eyeshadow, mascara and more. Her lower eyelids did not have the typical bags but rather a hollowing of the tissue underneath and crepe skin. Therefore, her lower blepharoplasty consisted of tightening and improving her lower eyelid skin with an aggressive TCA peel. Fat grafting to the lower eyelid and upper cheek junction allowed for a blending and smoothing of contours, lightening of shadows created by hollow areas, and a shorter more youthful lower eyelid appearance.
