This patient is 32 years old and was seeking cosmetic breast augmentation in Newport Beach to look better in bikinis and clothing. She wanted perkier, rounder breasts that were still proportional to her frame. Given that she wanted a durable and more natural breast augmentation, Sientra's gummy breast silicone gel breast implants were chosen. Her incisions were also placed in the inframammary crease because a) they are better hidden, b) give the best pocket control during surgery for a more durable result, and c) have been shown through the literature to have the lowest rates of capsular contracture. As can be seen in her pre-operative photos, this patient has two significant asymmetries: 1) volume differences in her breasts and 2) ribs that project differently on one side versus the other. Therefore, a 350cc High Profile implant was placed on the smaller, less projecting side, while a 325cc Moderate Plus Profile implant was placed on the naturally larger, more projecting breast. While no one has perfect symmetry, we were able to even out her breasts more than what she had prior to surgery. Furthermore, she felt more confident and looked forward to spending her free time by the pool and at the beach, as can be seen in her 3 month post-operative photos. The scars from her incisions are well-hidden and will continue to fade for up to 2 years after surgery, and she looks great considering she is only 3 months into the process.
